INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING !
Always install equipment as per the National
Electrical Code NFPA 72, where applicable, and in a
manner acceptable to the local authority having jurisdiction
(AHJ). Read all instructions before mounting and wiring.
OVERVIEW
The Alerton VAV IP controllers are programmable room
controllers with an integrated actuator and airflow sensor.
The Alerton VAV IP is a versatile, BACnet-compliant field
controller that provides pressure-independent control of
any duct variable air volume (VAV) box. It is particularly
suited for controlling duct fan-powered variable volume or
constant volume terminal units.
These scalable and freely programmable BACnet/IP-based
controllers utilize smart engineering and commissioning
tools. Alerton VAV IP controllers offers BACnet/IP, universal
inputs/output (UIO), and solid-state relay outputs.
MOUNTING
The Alerton VAV IP is suitable for dry indoor mounting.
Ensure the location is free from electrical interference and
that technicians can access the unit to terminate
communications and power wiring, remove or replace the
unit, remove the cover, and monitor LEDs during operation.
Follow below guidelines for mounting the VAV IP controller
on the VAV box:
