• Install with flex cable of sufficient length to move UPS clear of surrounding equipment for
servicing (sides and rear).
• Use feral caps to cover termination cables connected to UPS to avoid frayed ends from
shorting on terminal block.
• Site location should be in a clean, temperature-controlled space.
• UPS and battery cabinets cannot be stacked.
• Neutral conductor must be same size as current conductors.
• Ensure that UPS and battery cabinets are grounded together.
Additional Installation Safety Precautions
For all UPS system modules (power module and battery module) sold either separately or
combined. All models include separate owner's manuals, which should be used in
conjunction with these installation safety precautions.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This manual addendum contains important
instructions and warnings that should be followed during the installation and
maintenance of all Tripp Lite SmartOnline 3-Phase 20kVA and 30kVA UPS Systems and
their batteries.
