Gigaset SX541

VoIP, WLAN and DSL Gateway

Product Highlights

Single CPE, Multiple Solutions

The Siemens Gigaset SX541 provides broadband,
routing, VoIP and a full range of networking options
all within one device. Seamless, standards-based
wireless networking interoperates with other 802.11g
or 802.11b compliant networks and devices, with
broadband speeds up to 54Mbps. The SX541 Gateway
offers PC networking and Internet access for up to 253
computers and includes ADSL, LAN, WLAN, USB, PSTN
or VoIP interface options. The integrated USB host
interface provides built-in file sharing and printer server
capabilities. These advanced features of the SX541
Gateway enable Service Providers to offer streaming
content directly to a subscribers’ TV or audio center via
LAN or WLAN.

Subscriber Choice in Telephone Service

Service Providers can now offer subscribers a choice
in their telephone service via fixed-line or VoIP using
existing phone equipment through the gateway’s
simple plug and play feature. The SX541 Gateway’s
functionality includes call routing to connected analog
telephone devices, call forwarding, call waiting, and
other popular voice features. Emergency calls can be
routed via the traditional analog telephony line as
default. Two phones can be connected to the SX541
Gateway through it’s two FXS ports and wireless
handsets through the 802.11g/b WLAN
interface. Although the Gigaset SX541
Gateway is always on, it offers low
energy consumption resulting in lower
costs for subscribers.
