General Safety Rules – Electrical Safety

• Charge only OREGON® Cordless Tool System battery packs

specifically designed for this charger. A charger suitable for one type

of battery may create a risk of fire when used with another battery.

• When the charger is not in use, keep it away from metal objects

like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal

objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another.

Shorting the charger terminal may cause sparks, burns, or a fire.

• Do not disassemble the charger or attempt to repair.

Doing so could result in electrical shock.

• Remove the battery pack from the charger before storing or transporting.

• To reduce the risk of electric shock, never use any

charger in the rain or extremely wet conditions.

• If operating the charger in a damp location is unavoidable,

use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected supply.

Use of a GFCI reduces the risk of electrical shock.

• Charger plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do

not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) charger. Unmodified

plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.

• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or

unplugging the charger. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or
moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.

• For indoor use only.

CHARGER LED CHARGE-STATE INDICATOR
The battery charger is equipped with an LED charge-state

indicator that alerts you to the state of charging, as well as

conditions that may delay or prevent charging.
• NO LED: normal condition for the charger without a battery pack.

If a battery pack is on the charger, ensure that it is fully seated.

• STEADY GREEN LED: battery pack is READY FOR USE.
• BLINKING GREEN LED: battery pack is charging.
• STEADY ORANGE LED: the battery pack temperature is beyond

the acceptable range (32°F/0°C to 104°F/40°C). Allow the battery

pack to reach the acceptable temperature range before charging.

The pack may be left on the charger as the temperature adjusts.

Charging will begin when the proper temperature is reached.

• BLINKING ORANGE LED: a fault condition exists. There are

several potential causes. Follow these troubleshooting steps:

1) Check to ensure that the

plugs into the charger and

the outlet are fully inserted.

2) Make sure the charger is

receiving the correct voltage.

3) If available, try charging a

different battery pack (only

packs specified for this charger).

If this does not correct the problem,
contact OREGON® Cordless Tool
System customer service.

Le chargeur de batterie est équipé d’un indicateur d’état

de charge à DEL qui indique l’état de la charge ainsi que les

• AUCUNE DEL ALLUMÉE : état normal du chargeur sans bloc de batterie.

• Si un bloc de batterie est sur le chargeur, assurez-vous qu’il est bien installé.
• DEL VERTE FIXE : le bloc de batterie est PRÊT À L’EMPLOI.
• DEL VERTE CLIGNOTANTE : le bloc de batterie se recharge.
• DEL ROUGE FIXE : la température du bloc de batterie dépasse la plage

acceptable (0 °C à 40 °C/32 °F à 104 °F). Laissez le bloc de batterie

atteindre la plage de températures acceptable avant la recharge. Le bloc

peut être laissé sur le chargeur pendant que la température s’ajuste.

La recharge commence lorsque la bonne température est atteinte.

• DEL ROUGE CLIGNOTANT : un défaut est présent. Il existe plusieurs causes

OPERATION

CONNECTING THE CHARGER
Connect the charger cord to the charger and to the proper electrical outlet.
Only use the cord set that was supplied with the charger. At first

use, verify that the plug type matches the receptacle.
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK

WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW PROPER CHARGING PROCEDURES MAY CAUSE EXCESSIVE VOLTAGE,

EXCESSIVE CURRENT FLOW, LOSS OF CONTROL DURING CHARGING, LEAKAGE OF HAZARDOUS
CHEMICALS, HEAT GENERATION, BURSTING, OR FIRE.

With the charger cord

connected to the charger and

plugged into an electrical outlet,

align the grooves in the battery

with the rails on the charger

and slide the battery pack onto

the charger until fully seated.
