MSD Crab Cap, PN 8541

This Cap is an updated replacement for the PN 8537 Cap which is now obsolete. The new design is
injection molded from Dupont Rynite material which is stronger physically and holds higher dielectric
strength.
This Cap also incorporates spark plug style terminals for an improved connection to the plug wire
terminals. This change necessitates different terminals and boots for the spark plug wires. A set of
nine short 90° boots and terminals is available as PN 8848.
This Cap has the hold-down retaining bosses molded in and simply screws down to the distributor
base using the same socket head cap screws. The original rotor, PN 8567, and rotor base, PN 8568,
are still used.
