The U857R stands 12.01" (305.0 mm) from the table or podium; it
is also available in a 16.58" (421.0 mm) version as U857RL. The
two models are identical in all other respects.

The U857R requires 11V to 52V phantom power for operation.

Output from the power module’s XLRM-type connector is low
impedance (Lo-Z) balanced. The signal appears across Pins 2 and
3; Pin 1 is ground (shield). Output phase is “Pin 2 hot” – positive
acoustic pressure produces positive voltage at Pin 2.

switching from a flat frequency response to a low-end roll-off. The
roll-off position reduces the microphone’s sensitivity to popping in
c l o s e vo c a l u s e. I t a l s o r e d u c e s t h e p i ck u p o f l ow - f r e q u e n c y
ambient noise (such as traffic, air-handling systems, etc.), room
reverberation and mechanically coupled vibrations.

The U857R features a 9.8' (3.0 m) permanently attached miniature
cable. It connects to the provided AT8538 power module via a
special TA3F-type connector designed to optimize RFI immunity.
Cable exit is from the bottom of the microphone. The included pass-
t h r o u g h a d a p t e r, d e s i g n e d f o r u s e w i t h d e s k s t a n d s a n d
microphone stands, provides a side-exit for the cable.

Avoid leaving the microphone in the open sun or in areas where
t e m p e r a t u r e s ex c e e d 1 1 0 ° F ( 4 3 ° C ) fo r ex t e n d e d p e r i o d s .
Extremely high humidity should also be avoided.

NOTE: Audio-Technica has developed a special RFI-shielding
mechanism, which is an integral par t of the connectors in the
UniPoint line. If you remove or replace the connector, you may
adversely affect the unit's RFI immunity.

Le U857R est haut de 305,0 mm (12,01 po) par rapport à la table
ou au podium ; il est également disponible en version 421,0 mm
(16,58 po), modèle U857RL. Pour le reste, ces deux modèles sont
en tous points identiques.

Le U857R fonctionne sur alimentation fantôme de 11V à 52V.

L a s o r t i e d u m o d u l e d ’ a l i m e n t a t i o n e s t s y m é t r i q u e b a s s e
impédance, elle se fait sur une embase XLRM 3 broches. Le signal
symétrique est entre les broches 2 et 3, le point chaud est en deux
(la tension positive sur le point chaud est générée par une pression
acoustique positive sur la capsule). La masse (blindage) est sur la
broche 1.

Un filtre passe-haut 80 Hz intégré UniSteep

®

permet de passer

facilement de la réponse en fréquences plate à l’atténuation des
graves. La position passe-haut sert à rendre le microphone moins
sensible aux “pops” quand il est utilisé en proximité sur voix. Elle
sert également à réduire la sensibilité aux bruits ambiants de basse
fréquence (dus au trafic, aux installations de ventilation, etc.),
à l a r é v e r b é r a t i o n d e l a p i è c e e t a u x v i b r a t i o n s c o u p l é e s
mécaniquement.

Le U857R présente un câble miniature solidaire de 3,0 m (9,8 pi).
I l s e c o n n e c t e a u m o d u l e d ' a l i m e n t a t i o n AT 8 5 3 8 fo u r n i p a r
l'intermédiaire d'un connecteur spécial de type TA3F conçu pour
optimiser l'immunité vis-à-vis du brouillage radioélectrique. La sortie
de câble s'effectue à la base du microphone. L'adaptateur pass-
through inclus, conçu pour une utilisation avec des pieds pour table
et des pieds pour microphone, permet une sortie latérale du câble.

Evitez de laisser le microphone en plein soleil ou dans des endroits
où la température est supérieure à 43°C (110°F) pendant une
durée prolongée. Une trop for te humidité doit également être
évitée.

REMARQUE : Audio-Technica a développé un dispositif spécial
d'écran RFI faisant intégralement partie des connecteurs dans la
ligne UniPoint. Si vous retirez ou replacez le connecteur, vous
pouvez affecter l'immunité vis-à-vis du brouillage radioélectrique.
