Make sure that you keep your set away from water and
high temperatures.

Do not use your system immediately after transporting
it from a cold place to a warm place, as condensation
may cause the system to malfunction.

Keep your unit away from humid areas and abnormally
hot places.

To prevent personal injury, do not reverse any batteries
and do not mix battery types.
•
T h e a p p a r a t u s s h a l l n o t b e e x p o s e d t o
dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with
liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
•
No naked flame sources, such as lighted
candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
•
Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects
of battery disposal.
•
The rating plate is located at the back cabinet of
apparatus.
Please respect the environment. Before
throwing any batteries away, consult
your distributor who may be able to take
them back for specific recycling.
General Controls
(1) Telescopic antenna

(4) Band selector (FM/MW for RT234M, FM/LW for
RT234L)

Power Supply
1.
Remove the lid of the battery compartment by
sliding it outward in the direction of the arrow.
2.
I n s e r t 2 U M 4 / A A A / R 3 b a t t e r i e s i n t o t h e
compartment.
3.
Replace the lid.
Using the Radio
1.
Turn on the radio by rotating the volume knob.
2.
Use the band selector to select band (FM/MW for
RT234M, FM/LW for RT234L).
3.
Use the tuning control to tune to your desired radio
station.
4.
Adjust the volume level.
To enhance radio reception ability:
FM: Extend the telescopic antenna.
MW/LW: Rotate the unit horizontally for optimum
reception.
Listening with earphone
Connect earphones to the earphones jack on the top
of the unit.

Power on / off the unit
1.
Scroll the volume knob upward to turn on the unit,
you will hear a “click” sound.
2.
Scroll the volume knob downward to turn off the
unit, please make sure you hear a “click” sound.
