Embroidering 3D Flowers: Tips & Hints
Some embroidery designs are actually digitized to be used as appliques! For this
clutch purse, the appliques (some made using shimmery organza and some with satin)
were stitch
ed onto a “base fabric” of water-soluble stabilizer so that the finished
embroideries could be used as free-standing units. The appliques were then attached
to the purse fabric with a small bead using a hand sewing needle, for a little extra bling!
Read on for basic tips and hints on how to sew dimensional
appliques for your projects, using machine embroidery. The
