The Monitor Module M510E-4-20 is designed for the
connection of analogue sensors with a 4 – 20mA
current interface.
With that, all sensors that are equipped with a corres-
ponding analogue output – for example, gas detectors
or fl ame detectors – can be integrated into a fi re detec-
tion system. By means of the module, sensors in 2- or
3-wire technology can be connected.
The sensor circuit is powered by connecting an exter-
nal power supply to the module. The integrated current
limiter prevents overloading of the module if the power
supply for the sensor is short-circuited. In addition, the
current-limited analogue input is monitored for wire
breakage.
The Monitor Module M510E-4-20 is integrated into
an ADM loop with System Sensor/200 protocol and
occupies one address in the number range of detector
addresses.
The two-coloured status LED is actuated by the fi re
detection control panel and indicates the activated con-
dition and fault condition of the sensor.
The module is designed for mounting in a Surface
Mounting Box SMB500.
