Honeywell RDR7000 - User Manual
The IntuVue™ RDR-7000 Weather Radar upgrade from Honeywell serves as a modern replacement for aging Primus® 880 radars in specific Textron and Embraer aircraft, addressing aviation safety through FAA/EASA/ANAC approvals. This system supports two operational modes–Real Beam (P-880 Retro mode) and 3D Buffer–to enhance weather detection, turbulence mapping, and alerting capabilities across approved models like the Citation Bravo, Ultra, and EMB-135BJ. Installation requires specialized kits for each aircraft type, including wiring harnesses, circuit breakers, and field-loaded software via SD card, with detailed prerequisites and step-by-step procedures ensuring compatibility with existing avionics infrastructure.

STC Description Sheet
Superior Weather Awareness - The
Honeywell IntuVue™ RDR
-7000 Weather Radar offers rotorcraft
operators the lightest weight and most technically advanced radar available.
Honeywell
is delighted to introduce the Honeywell
IntuVue™ RDR
-7000 Weather Radar upgrade for
the Textron 550 Citation Bravo, Textron 560 Citation Ultra, and Embraer Legacy 600/650 aircraft
replacing the aging Primus® 880 series radar.
This STC provides an off-the-shelf, certified, weather radar upgrade solution to all Honeywell-
approved Channel Partners and operators with existing Primus® 880 Weather Radars installed to
address obsolescence and provide new and enhanced features (refer to System Functionality and
Modes of Operation).
This STC requires no aircraft structural work. The design incorporates the existing radar mounts and
cable feedthrough used for the legacy Primus® 880 series radar system. Installation Kits are produced
under a Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA), allowing any MRO to install without Part 145
certification
.
