INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS C-VS-1200-EXPL
2002-2005 FORD EXPLORER
TOOLS REQUIRED:
Metric Socket Set
Ratchet
Wrench
Phillips Screw Driver
Panel Pulling Tool
INSTALLATION:
1. Remove O.E.M. Console
•
Remove the one 7mm Hex head screw located in the
accessory
pocket of the O.E.M. Console
:
•
Un-plugged the factory 12volt outlet in order to
completely remove “FACE” of O.E.M. console.
•
Remove top “FACE” of O.E.M console. After Hex
head screw is removed, simply pull straight up on
“FACE” in the rear and then pull back to release the
front of the console.
•
Remove (2) 7mm hex head screws that attach the
lower portion of the OEM console housing located under the HVAC controls.
•
Remove (6) more 7mm screws located under the “Face” of the OEM console.
•
Save all removed hardware, this will be used later to install the VS console.
•
If equipped with the Traction control switch option, unplug and remove from OEM
console.
2. Install Explorer VS-Console:
•
Place VS-Console where the “FACE” of the O.E.M console
was originally located.
•
Mount VS-Console using the (6) 7mm screws (removed
earlier).
•
If necessary, install traction control switch into the supplied
plate.
