The Furuno FS-1503EM is the
latest generation commercial SSB
product. This "EM" version of the
FS-1503 provides all of the neces-
sary components and options to allow
a single point direct connection to the
latest generation SCS PactorII™ Modems
used for the "Sailmail™" HF Email Service
Worldwide Network.
The FS-1503 is part of Furuno's extensive
commercial HF Radio line that has won the
prestigious NMEA Award for SSB/Satellite "Global
Maritime Distress and Safety Communications" for
the past two years in a row.
The powerful 150 Wpep transmitter provides reliable
long distance communication. A large cooling fan with the
solid aluminum chassis allows continuous transmission at
full power for demanding RTTY (radio-teletype) and email
modems. Fully Automatic Tuning is a standard feature and the
wide-band receiver coverage allows you to monitor amateur
bands, short-wave broadcast, aviation wx. The FS-1503EM also
has full Marine HF Weatherfax Signal Receive capability.
