M processors with 2MB L2 Cache helps run

integer and floating point computation intensive applications exceptionally fast. The 533MHz front side
bus and the DDR2 533MHz dual channel memory enable fast data transfer between the CPU and
memory, and help ensure that the power of the processor is used optimally. The high bandwidth of the
dual channel memory interface minimizes bottlenecks while running memory intensive applications,
and helps ensure that engineers, analysts and digital content creators can go from desktop
workstations to mobile workstations without missing a beat, or a deadline.

complex assemblies. Digital content creators and animators can benefit from the support of advanced
features such as Vertex and Pixel Shader 3.0, Rotated Grid Full Scene Antialiasing, and 12-bit subpixel
precision, to create extremely sophisticated and pleasing special effects and graphics. The 256MB
graphics memory enables the fast application and manipulation of rich textures, to make graphics
seem more lifelike and impressive. The PCI Express graphics interface increases the theoretical
bandwidth up to 8X that of the AGP4X interface, and helps make the Dell Precision M70 mobile
workstation a viable platform for use as a primary workstation.

A range of 15.4" displays with up to WUXGA (1920 X 1200) resolution, provide maximum real estate and
display designs crisply and with minimal scrolling. WSXGA+ and WXGA resolutions are also available.

effective demonstrations and easy viewing. Wide aspect ratio (16:10) displays video content well,
easily accommodates application interfaces with tool palettes, and permits the display of multiple
text/web pages conveniently.

The M70 offers ultra long battery life through high capacity 9-cell 80WHr. batteries, for extended work
away from the office. The system also supports an optional, secondary 6-cell battery to provide
additional battery life. Excellent power management and easy to use utilities enable users to choose
the settings that best meet their needs - performance, battery life, or the optimal combination of the
two. A range of security solutions help ensure data as well as the system is protected and secure. The
options include slots for cable locks, integrated SmartCard reader, BIOS and HDD passwords, and
optional TPM 1.1 support. Dell Wireless and Intel PRO/Wireless miniPCI 802.11 solutions provide
excellent connectivity without wires, and also support widely used wireless standards including CCX
and LEAP. A docking station and an Advanced Port Replicator are also available.

- a comprehensive suite of certifications ensures that workstation applications run, and run very well.
The M70 will be certified on the workstation industry's most complex CAD, CAE, DCC, GIS and other
workstation applications at or shortly after launch. In the unlikely event of any issues, the certification
team engages with the application (and/or hardware) vendors to resolve the issue speedily. The M70
is optimized for workstation applications, with technologies and components chosen with a focus on
running workstation applications well, and tuned to optimize performance and reliability.
