The C540 contains the latest Intel

®

Celeron™ processors with all the features and quality that customers expect from

Latitude, including integrated communications and wireless capabilities. Included as standard with the Latitude C540 is

10/100 base-TX Ethernet and integrated wireless LAN antennae, as well as an optional 56K v.92 modem. An optional

upgrade using a Mini-PCI TrueMobile™ wireless LAN is also available. True to the Latitude C-Series legacy, the C540

retains backwards and forwards compatibility with all Latitude C-Family media modules and docking solutions. It also

benefits from improved graphics, faster memory and improved communications.

Latest Intel Mobile 1.7GHz Celeron Processor

The Latitude C540 offers an Intel Celeron processor running at 1.7GHz with a 400MHz Processor Side Bus and Intel

845MP chipset for great performance.

Outstanding Graphics and Brilliant Colour Displays

The Latitude C540 features an ATI

®

Mobility™ Radeon™ 7500 graphics engine with 64-bit technology, 4X AGP and 32MB

of double data rate DDR video memory. To complement this graphics engine the Latitude C540 offers a 14.1" XGA TFT

(1024 x 768) display, both bringing dramatic improvements in 3D graphics performance and visual quality.

Integrated Communications, Wired and Wireless

The Latitude C540 features enhanced communication. When you choose the optional Mini-PCI wireless LAN card there

is no compromise, all three options can be integrated at once, modem, wired LAN and 802.11b wireless LAN.

Increased Flexibility and Comfort

The Dell DualPoint integrated pointing device which incorporates a touch pad and a track stick, provides the flexibility

of using either device or both at the same time. The Latitude C-series media bay enables you to choose the device that

meets your needs: floppy disk, CD, DVD, CD-RW, DVD/CD-RW, 2nd hard drive or 2nd battery.
