hen you need to connect
full- or half-duplex async
computers and terminals,
choose the Async Fiber Optic
Mini Modem. A pair of these
modems can drive data over
multimode fiberoptic cable up
to 2 miles (more than 3 km) at
data rates up to 19.2 Kbps.
Special circuitry allows the
modem to operate without
external power, by deriving
ultra-low power from the DTE
data and control signals on the
interface.
Two models are available:
• Async Fiber Optic Mini
Modem with (2) fiberoptic
ST connectors and (1) DB25
