The secure and reliable ZyXEL B-3000 Intelligent Wireless LAN Access Point is a robust wireless LAN solution for Hot

Spot and enterprise applications. The B-3000 can be easily integrated into an existing wired network to increase

scalability and versatility as well as expand network connectivity.

The B-3000 includes bridging functions that enable secure wireless communication between buildings and within

environments where deployment may be difficult. Furthermore, the embedded Power over Ethernet (PoE) design allows for

installation in areas without access to power outlets.

The B-3000 also features robust security, which includes 802.1x authentication, 256-bit WEP encryption, Wi-Fi Protected

Access (WPA) and VLAN support. Such features allow network operators to define different security policies for different

user groups.

With a compact, modern design and powerful features, the B-3000 Intelligent Wireless LAN Access Point allows users to

access their networks with complete freedom.

High Level of Network Security Based on WPA*

The B-3000’s security architecture is based on WPA for wireless networks. WPA is a complete security solution, which

combines advanced TKIP encryption with powerful IEEE 802.1x-based user authentication.

Connect Multiple Sites with Bridge Function

Network operators are often faced with the challenge of establishing communication between two or more buildings in

an area. The B-3000 provides a powerful point-to-multipoint bridge, which facilitates wireless communication in a cost-

effective way.

Configurable Access Right for Different User Groups

The B-3000 allows for the creation of Multi-ESSIDs within one device. Each user group on a network may be assigned a

different SSID, thereby restricting the access rights and services accessible by each group. An intra-BSS feature blocks

traffic between users similar to a VLAN-like service.

User-friendly Installation & Configuration

The B-3000’s easy-to-use installation guide and intuitive web-based configuration tools allow users to launch a network

in minutes. The B-3000 is powerful enough to satisfy the most demanding network operator while remaining simple

enough for a non-technical user to deploy. Users immediately benefit from the B-3000 by avoiding costs associated with

deploying Ethernet cables in walls and ceilings.

Scalable and Easy to Deploy

A wireless network served by the B-3000 may be easily extended with the addition of more B-3000 access points. Such

network expansion allows for seamless integration into a wired network, improving access without sacrificing

workspace freedom or network performance. Additional features such as built-in Power over Ethernet support eliminates

the requirement for power outlets when deploying the B-3000 and gives operators much more freedom when building a

network.
