warrants that for a period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects
in material and work manship. Sunbeam, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component
of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. R eplacement will be made with a new
or remanufactured product or component. I f the product is no longer available, replacement may be
made with a similar product of equal or greater value. T his is your ex clusive warranty.

T his war r anty is valid for the or iginal r etail pur chaser fr om the date of initial r etail pur chase and
is not tr ansfer able. K eep the or iginal sales r eceipt. Pr oof of pur chase is r equir ed to obtain war r anty
per for mance. Sunbeam dealer s, ser vice center s, or r etail stor es selling Sunbeam pr oducts do not have
the r ight to alter, modify or any way change the ter ms and conditions of this war r anty.

T his warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following:
negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating
instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than Sunbeam or an authorized Sunbeam
service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: A cts of G od, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and
tornadoes.

W hat A r e the L imits on Sunbeam’s L iability?

Sunbeam shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the br each of any
ex pr ess, implied or statutor y war r anty or condition.

E x cept to the ex tent pr ohibited by applicable law, any implied war r anty or condition of mer chantability
or fitness for a par ticular pur pose is limited in dur ation to the dur ation of the above war r anty.

Sunbeam disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, ex press, implied, statutory
or otherwise.

Sunbeam shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or

• T ur n off and unplug the ir on.

• H old the ir on over the sink and activate the self-cleaning featur e by r emoving

the steam valve stem. T ur n the var iable steam dial to C L E A N . T he valve will
“ pop-up. ” Pull up to fully r emove the steam valve.

• Slowly r ock the ir on fr om side to side and fr ont to back for 30 seconds. W hen

r ock ing fr om fr ont to back , the nose of the ir on should dip slightly below the
r ear of the ir on to mak e cer tain water is cir culated completely thr ough the ir on.

• R eplace Steam valve. B efor e r eplacing, gently wipe the tip with a damp cloth to

clean. T o r eplace, align C L E A N with the indicator mar k . Push down and r otate
clock wise to D R Y.

• E mpty the r emaining water thr ough the fill opening.

• D r y the Soleplate with a towel.

• Plug in the ir on, set the T emper atur e selector to the highest setting and let the

ir on heat for 2 minutes to dr y any water r emaining inside the steam chamber.

• C ool the ir on and stor e per the instr uctions.

N O T E : D o not pour water into the Steam valve hole.

• Sor t the ar ticles to be ir oned accor ding to the type of fabr ic.

• Y ou should fir st ir on gar ments r equir ing low temper atur e

(e. g. , silk s and synthetics)

to avoid damaging them with an ir on that is too hot.

• I f you ar e unsur e of the fabr ic content of the gar ment, test a small ar ea, such as a seam

or facing, befor e ir oning a visible ar ea. Star t with a low temper atur e and gr adually
incr ease the heat to find the best setting.

• W hen changing the temper atur e fr om a high setting to a low setting, allow

appr ox imately 5 minutes for the lower temper atur e to be r eached.

• W hen steam ir oning, use long, slow passes over the fabr ic. T his will allow the steam

to penetr ate the fabr ic while allowing the heat of the soleplate to dr y out the moistur e.

• T o ir on linens, tur n gar ment inside out. B e car eful not to use an ir on that is too hot

because the lining may melt or stick to the soleplate.

• T o ir on zipper s, use an ir oning cloth or mak e sur e the zipper is closed and ir on

over the flap. N ever ir on dir ectly over an unpr otected zipper.

• U se the I r oning G uide on Page E nglish-7 to select the best setting and method for

the fabr ic you plan to ir on.

1. A llow the ir on to cool.

2. I f you do not use your ir on on a daily basis, empty the water r eser voir after each use

for a longer ir on life. T o do so, tur n the ir on upside down to allow water to flow fr om
the fill hole. Shak e the ir on gently to r emove tr apped water dr ops. C lose the water
r eser voir cover.

3. L oosely loop the power cor d together and stor e the ir on on its heel r est.

C lean the soleplate if star ch or other r esidue accumulate.

T o clean the Soleplate:

1. A llow the ir on to cool and then wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.

W A R N I N G :

D O N O T use abrasive cleansers, scouring pads or vinegar to clean the soleplate.
T his will damage the finish.

2. R un the ir on over an all-cotton cloth to r emove any r esidue.

T he Steam valve/Steam dial is r emovable for easy cleaning. C leaning the ir on is
only necessar y if you notice a r eduction in steam. U se the following pr ocedur e
to r educe the miner al build up:

• Set Steam dial to O F F position.

• F ill the ir on’s water tank to its max imum level.

• Set the temper atur e selector k nob to its highest setting.

• A llow the ir on to heat for 1-1/2 minutes.
