INSTRUCTION SUPPLEMENT FOR 2004-
LATER HONDA TRX450R
Removing stock c arburetor and c able s.
1.
Remove se at, fron t fe n d ers, rear fe n d ers
a n d g as ta nk.
Ma k e sure fuel petcoc k is
in “off” position. You w ill a lso ne ed to
remov e the thre e bolts holding a irbox in
pla c e . Loos en a ir boot hos e cla mp
around c arburetor and slide a irbox ba c k.
2. Remove throttle ca ble p aying close a tte n tio n
to rou tin g , as th e n ew ca ble(s) will ne e d to o
b e ro ute d th e same .
3. Remove stock carb uretor a n d stock throttle
h o using . Stuff a clea n, dry rag in to ma nifold
to ke e p d e bris o u t o f motor.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This machin e is e q uip p e d
with a throttle p ositio n se nsor. Un plu g TPS a n d
ta p e u p co n n ector to ke e p clea n .
Twist Throttle Instructions
1. Install th e throttle ca bles into th e su p plied
throttle h o using a n d place o nto cle a n
h a n dle b ar e n d .
2. Rou te throttle ca bles throu g h frame as stock
cable was route d .
3. Install th e p ull ca ble in to th e 8 :0 0 p osition
a n d th e return ca ble e n d into th e 1 1:0 0
p osition o f th e ca ble wh e el. Secure ca bles
to ca ble bracket by replacing e n d piece a n d
Phillips screw. Se e fig ure 2 .
NOTE: SEE FIGURE 1 TO ID ENTIFY CABLES.

Thumb Throttle Instructions
1. Threa d n ew throttle ca ble in to h o usin g a n d
insert ca ble e n d in to throttle lever.
2. Install ca ble into ca ble wh e el o n carburetor
in th e 8:0 0 p ositio n a n d secure ca ble in to
lower slot o n ca ble bracket by replacing e n d
piece a n d Phillips screw. Se e fig ure 3 .
