Removing Stock Carb and Cables
1.
Remove se a t/fe n d er assembly a n d fu el
ta nk.
2.
Remove throttle ca bles p ayin g close
atte ntio n to ro utin g.
3.
Remove th umb throttle h o usin g if yo u are
installing a twist throttle.
4.
Remove air b ox a n d air b ox intake tu b e.
5.
Remove stock carburetor.
6.
Stu ff a clea n rag in to in take ma nifold to
kee p d e bris from e n tering e n gin e .

. Ro u te th e provid e d throttle ca bles p er
man u facturer’s recomme n d e d proce d ure,
routin g th em th e same as th e stock ca bles.

.Remove th e ru b b er alignme nt ta bs from
th e ma nifold using a razor bla d e or cu tters.
Be v ery c areful not to damage the intak e
manifold!
3.
Remove air b ox in take tu b e from th e air
b ox a n d use a h acksaw to cut a p prox. 1½”
off o f th e air b ox intake tu b e. Yo ur tu b e
sho uld resemble th e o n e sh own in
Figure 1.
Re-assemble th e air intake tu b e in to air b ox
a n d install b ack o n to
bike.
Don’t forget to
tighten cla mp around intak e tube and re-
ins ert cr ank v ent into the air boot.

Attach ca ble into ca ble wh e el with th e ca ble
e n d a t th e 8 :0 0 p osition of th e ca ble wh e el,
th e n in to bracket. Secure by replacin g th e
cable bracket e n d a n d p hillips screw.

ide n tificatio n), ca ble e n d into th e 8:0 0
p osition a n d th e idle ca ble e n d into th e
1 1:0 0 p osition o n th e ca ble wh e el.
