Russell DOT Rear Brake Hose Kit

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
IIMPORTANT NOTE:
Do not allow the master cylinder to completely drain of brake fluid at any time during this process.
Also, use care when handling brake fluid, as it can quickly damage finished surfaces (paint, plating, etc.).
1.
Remove factory rear brake hose, noting routing.
2.
Install bent banjo hose end onto master cylinder so hose loops upward, similar to factory.
3.
Install straight hose end onto caliper oriented approximately 30° inward
(See Fig. 1).
4.
Use supplied cushion clamp to secure hose at factory location on swingarm.
5.
Check hose clearance throughout entire suspension travel range.
6.
Bleed system and check for leaks while applying pressure.
