Description:
The racer safety blow off adapter is designed as a safety venting system that will
allow for the installation of a Blow Down Tube.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Be sure the nitrous bottle is empty of all nitrous oxide and pressure.
Important Note:
Nitrous Oxide can be lethal and must be handled with extreme
caution
. Be sure you are located in a well-ventilated area. Remove your hands from
the bottle while the nitrous oxide is venting and move away to keep from breathing the
escaping nitrous.
2.
Once the bottle is completely empty, using a 9/16” wrench or socket, remove the Pressure
Relief Device already installed in the rear of the bottle valve.
3.
Install the Racer Safety Blow Off Adapter using a 13/16” wrench or socket making sure to install
the looped portion of the wire rope around the threads of the adapter.
4.
Torque the Racer Safety Blow Off Adapter to 12 ft. lbs.
5.
Install the diffuser cap or Blow Down Tube making sure not to over-tighten.
Installed on this valve is the
standard pressure relief device.
Installed on this valve is the Racer
Safety Blow Off Adapter and diffuser
cap.
