Removing stock c arburetor and c able s
1.
Remove e n gin e cover a n d tu n n el
(cen ter of flo or b o ard).
2. Remove throttle ca ble from throttle
p e d al a n d ch assis. Se e fig 1 .
3. Remove ch oke ca ble from d ash .

4. Remove stock carb uretor, ca bles
a n d all ven t h oses attach e d to
carburetor. NOTE: Carb uretor can
b e remove d with o ut disco n n ectin g
cables.

wires from carb a n d ta p e e n ds with
electrical ta p e as th ey will n ot b e
use d with th e Ed elbrock carburetor.
5. Stuff a dry, clea n rag into th e
intake ma nifold to ke e p d e bris from
e ntering e n gin e .
6. Remove oil line directly a b ove oil
filter. Se e fig 3. Discon n ect ru b b er
h ose a t b o ttom where it co n n ects
to h ard tu b e . Se e fig 4.
NOTE
: Clea n oil a n d dirt o ff of fla n g e a n d
case b e fore removin g oil line.

7. Remove stock fu el line from fu el
p ump . Save insulatin g ma terial as
it will b e re use d o n n ew fu el line .
Installing the Ede lbroc k Carburetor
1. Attach n ew fu el line to fu el p ump
reusin g stock clamp a n d insulatin g
material.
2. Install n ew throttle ca ble in to bracket
a n d throttle p e d al. Do n ot rou te
throttle ca ble in stock p ositio n. Ca ble
will n e e d to b e rou te d to p asse n g er
side of ve hicle. Se e fig ure 5 for ca ble
routin g .
NOTE
: Ap ply a small amo u nt of grease to
O-ring o n p e d al e n d of ca ble for e asier
installatio n into throttle p e d al.
