3/8" ratchet set and metric sockets

9/16” and 15mm wrench

Jack and jackstands

Liquid penetrant and rubber lubricant

DISASSEMBLY

1. Raise vehicle and support with proper jackstands for

the weight, leaving the suspension hanging.

2. Use caution around hot exhaust systems to avoid

burns.

3. Use penetrating oil on all nuts and bolts.

4. Remove the bolts, nuts, and clamps from the system

and lubricate the rubber hangers.

5. Use a long pry bar to pull the rubber hangers off of

the pipe hangers.

6. Remove the old system. In some cases, you will find

it easier to cut the overaxle pipe to remove it.

ASSEMBLY

1. Install I-pipe to factory outlet flange (behind catalytic

converters).

NOTE: Do not tighten flange bolts

at this time (snug only).

2. Suburban, Yukon XL, & Avalance Only:

Install I-pipe extension onto outlet of I-pipe using
supplied 3” band clamp.

3. Install the muffler onto the intermediate pipe with a

3” band clamp on the front.

NOTE:

Inlet end of

muffler is marked. Snug the clamp so you can adjust
the system later.

4. Place a 3” band clamp on the outlet of the muffler.

5. Install the overaxle pipe and engage it into the stock

rubber hanger isolators in front of the axle. Snug the
clamps.

6. Install hanger clamp #23-4077 onto the outlet end of

the overaxle pipe. Arc of U-bolt will face toward
center of vehicle. (This hanger clamp can be used to
adjust the exhaust system).

7. Install tailpipe onto overaxle pipe, install 3” band

clamp and snug clamp.

8. Install hanger clamp #23-4076 onto I-pipe and

engage into factory isolator and snug the clamp.

9. Install hanger clamp assembly #23-4094 onto front

of overaxle pipe, engage into O.E. isolator, align
clamp and snug U-bolt nuts.

10. Check for clearance to body, frame, and driveline as

you tighten the system from front to rear.

11. Check for leaks and correct, if necessary.

WARNING!!!

Exhaust gas contains carbon monoxide, a deadly invisible gas.

Correct any leaks before driving!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation will void warranty and may

result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.
