INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Application:
Designed for 1994-1996 Impala SS with 5.7L V8 Engine.
Suggested Tools for Installation:

3/8” rachet set and metric sockets
❑
15mm wrench
❑
Jackstands and jack
❑
Liquid penetrant and rubber lubricant
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation will void warranty and may
result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.
Disassembly
1. Raise vehicle and support with the proper jackstands,
leaving the rear suspension hanging.
2. Use caution around hot exhaust systems to avoid
burns.
3. Use penetrating oil on all nuts, bolts and rubber
hangers.
4. If you are using a lift or jackstands, the old system can
be removed in one piece. Remove the nuts to the
catalytic converter pipes and remove the old muffler
assembly.
5. Remove the stock hangers behind the stock mufflers.
Assembly
1. Install supplied rear muffler hangers using stock
muffler hanger holes.
2. Install the left and right I-pipes to catalytic converter
and snug bolts
(do not tighten at this time)
. Slip
mufflers onto I-pipe. Slip 2-1/2” band clamps on and
snug bolts.

WARNING: Exhaust gas contains carbon monoxide, a deadly invisible gas. Correct any leaks before driving!
3. Install I-pipe bracket in factory location (on left side
transmission mount).
The two mounting bolts are
slotted to help you align exhaust system.
Do not
tighten at this time.
4. Slip a 2-1/2” U-clamp onto left I-pipe and snug pipe to
bracket installed in Step 2.
5. Slip the 2-1/2” U-clamps over the muffler outlets.
Install the overaxle pipe into the mufflers, slip on 2-
1/2” U-clamps and let hang on hangers.
6. Slip band clamps onto tailpie inlet end, then slip
tailpipes onto overaxle pipes.
Engage hangers on
tailpipes into stock isolators.
7. Using band clamps, install tailpipe tips onto outlet of
tailpipe and snug clamps.
8. Align system to clear frame, heat shields, suspension,
etc., and tighten working from front to rear of vehicle.
NOTE:
Bumper height may vary by as much as 1/2” on
different vehicles, so you may need to bend the rear
hanger to adjust for your vehicle.
9. Check for leaks and correct as needed.
