Any hair dryer is electrically

live even when the switch is off.

To reduce the risk of death or injury by
electric shock:

1. Always unplug it immediately after using.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can
fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or
other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it
immediately.

Do not reach into the water.

1. This appliance should never be left
unattended when plugged in.

2. Close supervision is necessary when this
appliance is used by, on, or near children
or individuals with certain disabilities.

use as described in this manual. Do not

manufacturer.

4. Never operate this appliance if it has a
damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, if it has been dropped, damaged,
or dropped into water. Return the appliance
to a Conair Service Center for examination
and repair.

5. Keep the cord away from heated
surfaces.

Do not pull, twist, or wrap line

cord around dryer, even during storage.

6. Never block the air openings of the
appliance or place it on a soft surface, such
as a bed or couch, where the air openings
may be blocked. Keep the air openings free
of lint, hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any
opening or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used
or where oxygen is being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to
operate dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other
heat-sensitive areas.

12. Attachments may be hot during use.
Allow them to cool before handling.

13. Do not place appliance on any surface
while it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair
out of it. Keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. Do not use with voltage converter.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz)
only. Standard Dryers are designed to operate
at 110 to 125 volts A.C.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.

IMPORTANT

1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE

Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse
with other electrical products or appliances
may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15
amp fuse.

NEVER replace the fuse with one

rated higher than the capacity of the circuit.
Doing so could result in an electrical fire.

CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE APPLIANCE.

This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following test. The pur-
pose of this test is to allow you to make sure
the water sensing system (ALCI) is working.

1. Plug in the appliance and press test button
on plug (See appropriate diagram below).

2. The appliance will stop working. There will be
an audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, unit
should be unplugged. Then push reset button
in, and reinsert plug into outlet.

4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.

5. It is important that if immersion occurs,
this unit be brought to a service center. Do not
try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use
the unit to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset but-
ton pop up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from
outlet and allow the appliance to cool.
Reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally.
If not, return to an authorized Conair Service
Center for evaluation and repair.

SUPER STYLING GUIDE

Your best looks begin with a good haircut
that’s well maintained. Always treat hair right
with superior quality shampoos, conditioners,
and finishing products.

DRYING BASICS

1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel blot
hair to remove excess moisture. Section hair.
2. Push the ion on switch to turn on the ion gen-
erator: clouds of negatively charged ions will
help to reduce static electricity, control frizzy
flyaways and contribute to your hair’s shine.
3. The dryer has 15 styling settings achieved
through 3 speeds and 4 heat settings
combined with a cool shot - whether you
select a high powerful setting for a maximum
volume or a low cool setting to lock in a style,
you will always get the benefit of the ionizing
function. Maximum styling control for shiny
manageable hair.
4. If you use the dryer with a styling brush
(the professional way to style and dry at the
same time), brush each strand from under-
neath as you direct hot air to top of strand,
always moving slowly and steadily up and
down each strand. This way, you’ll be aiming
heat at your hair, not at your scalp.
5. For quick touch-ups between shampoos,
mist hair to dampen it before styling with dryer.
6. When using your dryer to create curls and
waves, dry hair almost completely on a low
temperature setting, then finish styling by
switching to cool (which also operates with the
IONIZING FUNCTION). This will help reduce
static again, and shine hair for a perfect finish.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO

Este aparato fue diseñado para uso doméstico.

Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna (60

hertzios). Los secadores estándares están dis-

eñados para funcionar con Corriente Alterna de

110 a 125 voltios.

Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (un

polo es más ancho que otro). Como medida de

seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola man-

era en la toma de corriente polarizada. Si no

entra por completo, inviértelo. Si aún no entra

completamente, llame a un electricista califica-

do. No intente vencer esta función de seguridad.

IMPORTANTE

GUÍA DE OPERACIÓN PARA EL

SECADOR DE 1875 VATIOS

Usar este aparato en el mismo circuito o en el

mismo fusible con otros aparatos o elec-

trodomésticos puede activar el interruptor de

circuito de 15 amp. o quemar un fusible de 15

amp.

NUNCA reemplace el fusible por uno de

mayor capacidad que la del circuito, ya que

hacerlo pudiera producir un incendio eléctrico.

PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE SEGURIDAD

ANTES DE CADA USO

Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito de

seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage

Circuit Interrupter), el cual apaga el secador en

caso de que ocurran situaciones anormales, por

ejemplo si el aparato cae al agua. Haga la prue-

ba siguiente para asegurarse que el sistema de

detección de agua funcione correctamente.

1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de prue-

ba (véase el gráfico más abajo)

2. El aparato dejará de funcionar , se oirá un clic

y el botón de reajuste saltará

3. Para reajustar el enchufe, asegúrese que el

aparato está desenchufado, luego apriete el botón

de reajuste y vuelva a enchufar el aparato

4. En caso de que el cortacircuito de seguridad

no esté funcionando correctamente, lleve su

aparato adonde lo ha comprado o a un centro de

servicio autorizado.

5. Si el aparato cae al agua, es muy importante

que lo lleve a un centro de servicio. No intente

reajustarlo.

6. Pruebe el cortacircuito de seguridad antes de

cada uso para asegurarse que esté operativo.

Si el secador se apagara y el enchufe saltara

durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal fun-

cionamiento. En tal caso, desenchufe el aparato

y déjelo enfriar , luego vuelva a enchufarlo. El

aparato debería funcionar normalmente. En el

caso contrario, llévelo a un centro de servicio

autorizado para que lo revisen y lo reparen.

GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER MODELADO

La mejor apariencia empieza por un recorte de

cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabel-

lo con champúes, acondicionadores y productos

de acabado de calidad superior .

FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO

1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los produc-

tos de su elección. Enjuáguelo bien. Séquelo con

una toalla para eliminar el exceso de agua.

Divida el cabello en secciones.

2. Oprima el interruptor para la función iónica:

su secador genera iones negativos que ayudan a

reducir la electricidad estática y a controlar los

cabellos sueltos, al mismo tiempo que agregan

brillo.

3. Su secador incluye 3 ajustes de velocidad, 4

opciones de temperatura y un chorro de aire frío.

Aquellas opciones logran 15 combinaciones de

modelado, desde velocidad y temperatura altas

para agregar cuerpo, hasta velocidad y temper-

atura bajas para fijar el modelado. Cualquier sea

la opción escogida, la función iónica procura

ventajas únicas y le ofrece el control óptimo para

un cabello brillante y dócil.

4. Si use el secador y un cepillo de modelado

simultáneamente (el método de los profesion-

ales para secar y modelar a la vez), coloque el

cepillo debajo de cada sección de cabello, y diri-

ja el flujo de aire caliente hacia la parte superior

del cabello. Mueva el cepillo y el secador

simultáneamente hacia las puntas, lentamente y

uniformemente. Esa técnica le permitirá dirigir el

flujo de aire hacia el cabello, no hacia el cuero

cabelludo.

5. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,

rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes de

modelar con el secador

6. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles y

ondas, seque el cabello casi por completo usan-

do un ajuste de temperatura suave, luego fije el

modelado usando el chorro de aire frío (esta

función trabaja con la función iónica). Esto

reducirá aún más la electricidad estática y agre-

gará brillo al cabello, para un acabado perfecto.
