PRECAUTIONS

1.

The thermometer should only be used under the supervision of an adult.

2.

Do not walk, run or talk during temperature taking.

3.

Store the unit in the protective case when not in use.

4.

Do not store the unit where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, dust or
humidity. Avoid extreme temperatures.

5.

Dropping or subjecting your thermometer to strong shocks should be
avoided.

6.

Do not attempt to disassemble the unit, except to replace the battery.

HOW TO SWITCH FROM ˚C TO ˚F (FROM ˚F TO ˚C)

Hold ON/OFF button for 2 sec. Display will activate and ˚C becomes ˚F.

HOW TO OPERATE

1.

Press ON/OFF button to activate. The unit would beep and display.

2.

Then, the temperature taken last time would be displayed with a “M”
mark in the right corner.

3.

Then, 37.0˚C (or 98.6˚F) will appear.

4.

When

Lo

and fl ashing ˚C (˚F) displays, the thermometer is ready for

temperature measuring. But if the room temperature is higher than
32.0˚C (89.6˚F), the room temperature would be displayed instead of

Lo

.

5.

The beep will sound when temperature measuring is complete.

6.

Press ON/OFF button to turn off the unit.

(The unit will automatically power off after approximately nine minutes after use.)

A. Taking an oral temperature

Place the probe tip under the tongue and close the mouth.
Approximate measuring time: 1 minute.

B. Taking an axillary temperature (under the arm)

Wipe the underarm with a dry towel and place the probe tip under the arm
so the tip is touching the skin with the thermometer perpendicular to the
body. Position the arm across the chest so the probe tip is well covered by
the arm.
Approximate measuring time: 2-3 minutes.
Note: Axillary temperatures are generally 0.5˚C /1.0˚F lower than oral

readings.

C. Taking a rectal temperature

Apply a water-soluble lubricant to the probe cover. Gently insert the probe
into the rectum.
Approximate measuring time: 1 minute.
Note: Rectal temperatures are generally 0.5˚C /1.0˚F higher than oral

readings.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Before and after each use, clean the thermometer with a soft cloth and
isopropyl alcohol diluted with water, or wash with COLD soapy water. Do
not soak for an extended period of time or sterilize by boiling method, gas
or steam autoclaves

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

The battery in your digital thermometer needs to be replaced when “ ”
appears in the lower right corner of the display. Replace the battery with a
1.5V, LR41 or SR41 or equivalent.
To replace the battery,
1. Pull the battery cover away from the unit.
2.

Use a non-metal pointed tool to remove the
battery and insert the new battery with the
positive(+) side facing up.

3. Carefully slide the battery cover back into place.

Note: Please properly replace the battery away from small children

and heat.

CÓMO CAMBIAR DE ˚C A ˚F (DE ˚F A ˚C)

Mantenga pulsado el botón ON/OFF durante 2 segundos. Se activará la
pantalla y °C se convertirá en °F.

FUNCIONAMIENTO

1.

Pulse el botón ON/OFF (encendido/apagado) para activarlo. La unidad
emitirá un sonido y se mostrará.

2.

Seguidamente, se mostrará la temperatura tomada por última vez con
una marca “M” en la esquina derecha.

3. A continuación, se indicarán 37,0˚C (o 98.6˚F).
4.

Cuando se muestre

6. Pulse el botón ON/OFF para apagar la unidad.
(La unidad se apagará automáticamente transcurridos unos nueve minutos
tras su uso.)

A. Toma de la temperatura oral

Coloque la punta de la sonda debajo de la lengua y cierre la boca.
Tiempo aproximado de medición: 1 minuto.

B. Toma de la temperatura en las axilas (debajo del brazo)

Pase una toalla seca por debajo de la axila y coloque la punta de la sonda
debajo del brazo de forma que la punta toque la piel con el termómetro
perpendicular al cuerpo. Coloque el brazo por encima del pecho de manera
que la punta de la sonda esté bien cubierta por el brazo.

C. Toma de la temperatura rectal

Aplique un lubricante soluble al agua en el cubierta de la sonda. Introduzca
suavemente la sonda en el recto.

Nota: Las temperaturas del recto se sitúan normalmente entre 0,5˚C /1,0˚F

por encima de las mediciones orales.

INSTRUCCIONES DE LIMPIEZA

Antes y después de cada uso, limpie el termómetro con un paño suave
y alcohol isopropílico diluido con agua o límpielo con agua jabonosa
FRÍA. No mojarlo durante un periodo prolongado de tiempo ni esterilizarlo
mediante el método de ebullición ni en autoclave por gas o vapor.

SUSTITUCIÓN DE LA PILA

Se debe reemplazar la pila de su termómetro digital cuando se visualice
“ ” en la esquina inferior derecha de la pantalla. Reemplace la pila por
una pila LR41 ó SR41 de 1,5V o equivalente.
1. Saque la cubierta de la pila de la unidad.
2.

Use una herramienta terminada en punta no
metálica para quitar la batería e introduzca la
nueva pila con el lado positivo(+) mirando hacia
arriba.

3. Vuelva a colocar con cuidado la cubierta de la pila.

Nota: Sustituya la pila lejos de niños pequeños y de fuentes de calor.
