QuickGuide to EOS
Quick Control Screen Operation
The purpose of this QuickGuide is to familiarize
you with the features available in Canon’s Quick
Control screen interface and the benefits of
using it. These benefits include:
1. The ability to review major camera settings
on one large, easy to see screen
2. The ability to perform a variety of common
camera settings and image adjustments on a
single screen, without having to sort through
multiple menus or press multiple buttons
The Quick Control screen is an
optional
control interface that serves as a supplement
and shortcut to the full menu system on EOS
cameras.
It is available on the following EOS
DSLRs:
EOS 5D Mark II
EOS 7D
EOS 50D, 60D
EOS Rebel T2i, T3i, and T3
The layout and functions available will vary by
camera model and shooting mode. For example,
if your camera is set to the Basic Zone (full
automatic) mode the range of functions visible
and available on the Quick Control screen will be
much smaller than if the camera is set to P, Tv,
Av, or M mode.
SHOOTING VS. PLAYBACK MODE
With most EOS DSLRs, the Quick Control screen
is available only when the camera is ready to
shoot. The EOS 60D, Rebel T3i, and T3 have an
additional Quick Control screen that is accessible
when the camera is in image playback mode.
Please refer to the IMAGE PLAYBACK MODE
section below for information on these additional
features.
