Make all other connections before you connect the
power supply to standard AC power.

connect device with positive and negative wires

1. Turn off the device requiring power.
2. Turn off the power supply.
3. Turn the red and black binding output posts

counterclockwise to expose the wire holes.

4. Insert the device’s positive wire (usually red)

into the red binding post’s wire hole. Tighten the
binding post to secure the wire in place.

5. Insert the device’s negative wire (usually black)

into the black binding post’s wire hole. Tighten the
binding post to secure the wire in place.

6. Connect the power supply’s AC cord to a standard

120V AC outlet.

To avoid damage to the power supply and device:

• Make sure your connections match the correct polarity

(+ to +, – to – ).

• Do not let the ends of the positive and negative wires

touch each other.

• The binding posts’ wire holes can accommodate wire up

to 18 gauge.

Your RadioShack 13.8 VDC 15-Amp Regulated
Power Supply is designed to power equipment
that requires 12V DC automotive power. The power
supply converts standard 120V AC household
power to 13.8V DC power and can supply up to 15
amps of continuous power.

Heed Warnings

Cleaning

— Unplug this appliance from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a

damp cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.

Water and Moisture

— Do not use this appliance near water (for example, near

a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a

swimming pool).

Mounting Accessories

— Do not place appliance on an unstable cart, stand,

tripod, bracket, or table. The appliance may fall, causing injury to a child or

adult, and damage the appliance. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket,

Power-Cord Protection
