Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and keep it

for future reference.

WARNING: Do not use this appliance

near water.

When the appliance is used in a

bathroom, unplug it after use since

the proximity of water presents a risk,

even when the appliance is

switched off.

WARNING: Do not use

this appliance near bathtubs,

showers, basins or other

vessels containing water.

Always unplug the appliance after use.

If the appliance overheats, it switches

off automatically. Unplug the appliance

and let it cool down for a few minutes.

Before you switch the appliance on

again, check the grilles to make sure

they are not blocked by fluff, hair, etc.

If the mains cord is damaged, it must

be replaced by Philips, a ser vice centre

authorised by Philips or similarly

qualified persons in order to avoid

a hazard.

This appliance can be used by

children aged from 8 years and above

and persons with reduced physical,

sensor y or mental capabilities or

lack of experience and knowledge

if they have been given super vision

or instruction concerning use of

the appliance in a safe way and

understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the

appliance. Cleaning and user

maintenance shall not be made by

children without super vision.

For additional protection, we advise

you to install a residual current device

(RCD) in the electrical circuit that

supplies the bathroom. This RCD

must have a rated residual operating

current not higher than 30mA. Ask

your installer for advice.

Inser ting metal objects into the grilles

is a hazard and may cause

electric shock.

Never block the air grilles.

Before you connect the appliance,

ensure that the voltage indicated on

the appliance corresponds to the local

power voltage.

Do not use the appliance for any

other purpose than described in

this manual.

Do not use the appliance on

ar tificial hair.

When the appliance is connected

to a power supply, never leave it

unattended.

Never use any accessories or

par ts from other manufacturers

or that Philips does not specifically

recommend. If you use such

accessories or par ts, your warranty is

invalidated.

Do not wind the power cord round

the appliance.

Wait until the appliance cooled down

completely before you store it.

Do not pull on the power cord after

using. Always unplug the appliance by

holding the plug.

Style & Protect Concentrator

The innovative and unique

Style & Protect Concentrator

has been

invented to allow precise styling of the hair with a 6mm concentrator

while at the same time caring for the hair. When styling the hair with

a thin concentrator, it gets ver y close to the hair, sometimes touching

the hair. Heat of up to 180ºC builds up and is damaging the hair by

overheating. The Style & Protect concentrator forces the flap to open

when the hair gets too hot, disolving excessive heat and improving

styling power.

Dry your hair

Preparation for your hair :

Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner, rinse it thoroughly.

Gently towel dr y your hair to remove excess moisture.

Blow dr y your hair with a wide-toothed brush. Ensure your hair is

almost dr y and tangle-free.

Connect the plug to a power supply socket.

For precise dr ying, attach the concentrator ( or )

onto the hairdr yer.

Adjust the temperature switch (

) and airflow switch (

) to the

desired position. Press and hold the Cold shot button ( ) for

cold airflow to fix your style.

When the appliance is powered on, ions are automatically and

continuously dispensed, reducing frizz and providing additional

shine.

To straighten your hair (Fig.1)

Section your hair and clip the hair away. Begin from the bottom of

hair and dr y one section at a time.

Using a round brush, move the concentrator along the hair from the

roots to the ends with full tension for the best result.

When the roots are dr y, star t dr ying in the middle por tion. Twist

your wrists and brush away from your scalp to maintain tension.

Tips: The hair dr yer should always point down while dr ying from roots.

You may lean forward when brushing your hair to prevent fatigue.
Repeat steps 1-3 to straighten the rest of your hair until it is completely

dr y.

To enjoy lasting results, press and hold the Cold shot button

( ) to style your hair.

Tips: The bigger the brush, the bigger the section of hair you can

straighten and the faster you will be able to blowdr y your hair.

To create flicks (Fig.2)

Section your hair and clip the hair away. Begin from the bottom of

hair and dr y one section at a time.

Straighten your hair (refer to Fig.1 “

reaches the hair ends. With a slight twist of your wrist, turn the brush

underneath half inwards (or outwards) to create flicks.

Hold the hairdr yer close to the hair tips for 3 to 4 seconds, and then

release it.

Repeat steps 1-3 to style the rest of your hair.

To enjoy lasting results, press and hold the Cold Shot button

( ) to style your hair.

After use:

Switch off the appliance and unplug it.

Place it on a heat-resistant surface until it cools down.

To disconnect the concentrator ( or ), pull it off the hairdr yer.

Note: Please be careful when the concentrator is hot.

Turn the air inlet grille ( ) to remove hair and dust.

Clean the appliance with a damp cloth.

Store your Philips Pro Range Hair Dr yer in a safe and dr y place, free

of dust. You can also hang it with the hanging loop ( ).

se ha diseñado para poder moldear con precisión el pelo con una

boquilla de 6 mm, a la vez que se cuida el pelo. Al moldear el pelo con

una boquilla concentradora estrecha, esta se acerca mucho al pelo, a

veces tocándolo. El calor de hasta 180 ºC se acumula y daña el pelo

al calentarlo en exceso. La boquilla concentradora Style & Protect

fuerza la aper tura de la solapa cuando el pelo está demasiado caliente,

disipando el exceso de calor y aumentando la potencia de moldeado.

Secado del cabello

Preparación del pelo:

Lávese en pelo con champú y acondicionador, y enjuáguelo bien.

Seque el pelo suavemente con una toalla para eliminar el exceso de

humedad.

Seque el pelo con secador y un cepillo de púas anchas. Asegúrese de

que el pelo está casi seco y sin enredos.
