Your Maxx Air fan is shipped fully assembled. Enjoy the

powerful, cooling breeze that the fan will provide for virtually
any indoor application. There are no additional spare parts
shipped with this item.

Specifications

Totally enclosed motor meets NEC 547-7 (2008) requirements
for use in Agricultural Areas. Model HVWM 18CD has a
110-120 Volt A/C polarized grounded plug. Model HVWM 18CD
GFCI has a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter. Do not remove

grounding conductor from lug or use with an extension cord.

Warning

To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use with any

solid state speed control device. This fan motor is equipped
with an automatic reset overload device. The fan may start un-
expectedly. Do not put any object through the grilles into the
blade or motor. This fan is designed for indoor use only. Do not

expose to the elements or allow to become wet. Do not use to
exhaust hazardous chemicals or vapors. Unplug unit for
storage, when not in use or moving locations.

Installation

Minimum Attachment Requirements:

2x4 studding capable

of supporting at least 50 lbs.

Use a 3/8” diameter x 2” long Lag Screw with flat washer (

not

included

). Attach the fan to the wall using the centermost hole

in the wall bracket with the above mentioned lag screw.
Additional screws can be used to stabilize the wall mount if
needed, however, they are not required.

Operating Instructions

1. Plug cord into a properly grounded receptacle.
2. If applicable, press the RESET button on the GFCI plug.
3. Turn the knob on the fan to select the desired speed or turn

the fan off.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Warning: Unplug the fan from electrical supply before

cleaning.

1. Use soft, damp cloth to clean fan. Remove any moisture

with a clean, dry cloth.

2.

Do not

use any cleaning solution that is harmful to paint or

plastic.

3.

Do not

bend blade when cleaning fan.

4.

Motor is permanently sealed and does not require addi-

tional lubrication.

Disconnect fan when moving from one location to another.

Disconnect fan when removing guards for cleaning.

Make sure fan is on a stable surface when in operation.

Rain and moisture may create an electrical hazard.

This appliance has a 3-prong plug. To reduce the risk of electri-
cal shock, this plug is intended to fit in an outlet one way. If this
plug does not fit in the outlet, contact a qualified electrician.

Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed
