The LINK 1159 converts SDI serial component
digital, 10 bit, to analog (NTSC/PAL) composite
video. The 1159 takes advantage of the latest
technology to provide high-performance
conversion from digital SDI to analog NTSC or
PAL composite video. The digital input is non-
looping and offers excellent return loss. Error-free
transmission is provided for input cable lengths
exceeding 500ft. Serial digital input is confirmed
by a signal presence LED.

Two NTSC analog outputs are available on the
rear panel for distribution purposes. In addition,
there is a Y/C pair of BNC connectors for S-Video
distribution.

Three switches on the front panel select Color Bars,
Set-up On/Off and NTSC/PAL. Line 21 is preserved
for closed caption. The DigiFlex 1159 is designed to
reside in LINK's 1000-Series frame. This frame can
house up to 11 modules of various types. A
redundant power supply is available for dual power
supply operation. A second power cord is a part of
the redundant power supply for separate AC circuit
breakers.

The family of DigiFlex 1000 series modules will
operate in the mounting frame in any configuration.
The specific rear cell matches the module and in
some cases the rear cell detects the desired output
signal.
