Overview

The LINDY USB Hub provides up to 7 downstream ports in conformance
with USB specification Rev. 1.1. It supports two power source modes;
bus-power and self-power. It also provides port current overload
protection. Each downstream port is rated for both high and low speed
USB data. The LINDY Hub topology supports up to 127 physical devices
in a tiered star configuration.

Installation

l

Plug the AC/DC power adaptor into the mains and the hub.

l

Connect the B type plug of the supplied cable into the USB
hub.

l

Connect the A type plug of the supplied cable into the USB
Host (PC or Mac).

l

Connect devices to one of the A type sockets on the USB
hub.

l

If using W indows the PC will automatically detect this hub and
request the drivers from the W indows installation disk.

Meaning of LEDs

* Power : Green LED ON Link with USB Host
* Status : Red LED ON Suspend mode, no connect
* P1~P4/P7 : Green LED ON Link / Active

Übersicht

Der LINDY USB 4 (7) Port Desktop Hub stellt 4 bzw. 7 USB Typ A
Downstream Anschlüsse nach der USB 1.1 Spezifikation zur Verfügung.
Der Hub unterstützt sowohl den Self-Powered-Mode (Stromversorgung
über eigenes Netzteil) wie auch den Bus-Powered-Mode (Stromversor-
gung über den Upstream Port). Jeder Ausgangsport ist gegen zu hohe
Stromentnahme und Kurzschluß abgesichert. Die Datenrate der Aus-
gänge wird einzeln automatisch an die Geschwindigkeit der angeschlos-
senen USB Devices angepaßt.
Die USB Topologie unterstützt bis zu 127 Geräte in 6 Ebenen.

Installation

•

Schließen Sie das Netzteil an falls Sie den Hub im Self-Powered-
Mode betreiben wollen .

•

Die einzelne USB Typ B Buchse ist der Eingangsport. Sie wird mit
dem Computer bzw. dem Upstream-USB-Hub verbunden.

•

Die 4 USB Typ A Buchsen stellen die Ausgangsports für die
Devices dar.

•

W indows wird automatisch die W indows Installations-CD
anfordern und die Treiber für den Hub einbinden.

Bedeutung der LEDs:

* Power : Grüne LED AN: Verbunden mit USB Host
* Status : Rote LED AN: Suspend Mode, keine Verbindung
* Port 1~4/7 : Grüne LED AN: Verbunden, aktiv.
