CAUTION
Before installation, careful consideration must be
given to how the system will operate if connected to
any other piece of mechanical equipment, i.e. a forced
air furnace or air handler, operating at a higher static.
After installation, the compatibility of the two pieces of
e q u i p m e n t m u s t b e c o n f i r m e d , b y m e a s u r i n g t h e
a i r f l o w ’ s o f t h e H e a t / E n e r g y R e c o v e r y V e n t i l a t o r
( H R V ) , b y u s i n g t h e b a l a n c i n g p r o c e d u r e i n
this manual.
It is always important to assess how the operation
o f a n y H R V m a y i n t e r a c t w i t h v e n t e d c o m b u s t i o n
equipment (ie. Gas Furnaces, Oil Furnaces, Wood
Stoves, etc.).
NEVER install an HRV in a situation where its normal
operation, lack of operation or partial failure may result
in the backdrafting or improper functioning of vented
combustion equipment!!!
