INSTALLING THE ANTI-THEFT
DEVICE (FIGURE 1)
1.
Remove the upper four (4) phillips screws and
washers that secure the back upholstery to the
back canes.
NOTE: Phillips screws and washers will be reused.
2.
Position the anti-theft device brackets with the
back upholstery screw holes.
3.
Install the phillips screws through the washers,
anti-theft device brackets, back upholstery and
into the back canes.
4.
Tighten the four (4) phillips screws securely.
NOTE: Check all parts for shipping damage before
using. In case of damage, do NOT use. Contact the
Dealer/Carrier for further instructions.
SAFETY SUMMARY
The following recommendations are made for the
installation of the anti-theft device:
WARNING
DO NOT assemble or use this equipment with-
out first reading and understanding this instruc-
tion sheet. If you are unable to understand the
warnings, cautions or instructions, contact a
healthcare professional, dealer or technical
personnel before attempting to install this
equipment - otherwise, injury or damage may
occur.
NEVER maneuver an occupied wheelchair by
using ANY part of the anti-theft device. Seri-
ous injury or damage can occur. ALWAYS use
the handles of the wheelchair when maneu-
vering an occupied wheelchair.
