The Extron
®
PMK 550 Bracket Kit consists of a
pair of brackets and two 4-40 x ¼ inch screws.
The kit is used for mounting accessory devices
(up to 1U high, a quarter rack wide, and
three inches deep), onto a PMK 550 Projector
Mounting Kit base plate.
CAUTION:
Maximum load for the
PMK 550 is 15 lbs (6.8 kg).
Installation
NOTE:
Ensure the finished installation is in accordance with local and national
building codes, fire and safety codes, UL requirements, and local and
national electrical codes.

PMK 550 User Guide
for details on how to install the PMK 550.
1.
If the PMK 550 is already installed, remove the cover securing screws and
then remove the covers.
2.
Fit both brackets into the
accessory device mounting
slot on the PMK plate and
slide them fully apart.
3.
Place the accessory device
between the brackets (see
figure 2).
NOTE:
Place the device onto the
PMK 550 base plate with the rear
panel facing inwards (towards the
projector pipe) to allow for easy
cable connection.
4.
Slide both brackets up to the device
(see figure 2), and secure the device
with two 4-40 screws (see figure 3).
NOTE:
Use only the screws supplied
with the kit to avoid damaging it.
5.
Cable and test the device as required.
6.
Replace and secure the PMK 550 covers.
