DESCRIPTION

Michelangelo UMTS is a

router with 3G/HSDPA PC

Card slot

using 3G/HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS or

GSM standards for Internet connections.

The diffusion of 3G standard also solved the problem of
speed limit related to GSM and GPRS technologies and
allows broadband mobility and wireless connections.
At present the 3G/HSDPA standard reaches the

speed

of 7,2 Mbps and 1,8 Mbps for the UMTS

.

The real performance with Michelangelo UMTS will
then depend on the operator, on the UMTS coverage
and on the PC Card you use.

With Michelangelo UMTS you will perform

streaming video

,

real-time audio

,

play online

,

e-mail and Internet

access even where a traditional Internet connection is not available

.

Just insert an UMTS Pc Card in Michelangelo UMTS and you will give connectivity to all the LAN computers and
devices.
Michelangelo UMTS is equipped with an

ADSL WAN interface

supporting the

ADSL2/2+ standard

and it can surf

the Internet in downstream up to

12/24 Mbps

and upstream up to 1 Mbps. Anyway, the ADSL connection can be

always established in downstream up to 8 Mbps.
Connecting Michelangelo UMTS to the ADSL line you can

manage the UMTS connection as a Back-up

that

guarantees the service. In case of faulty ADSL connection, the router automatically will pass over UMTS and come
back to the starting configuration as this is restored.

Three different types of connection

are available with Michelangelo UMTS:

ADSL, UMTS or ADSL with Back-up

over UMTS

.

Wireless surfing thanks to the 54/11 Mbps built-in Wireless Access Point (802.11g/802.11b).
As for the security of radio transmissions the WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and 4/128 bit WEP encryptions are supported.
